My Crazy Day...and It's Only Noon!!
Well...after a nice relaxing week being spoiled by Mimi's visit, I figured I would just ease back into the grind of "life-without-an-extra-pair-of-hands." "Life-without-an-extra-pair-of-hands" had a different plan. On our morning walk we came across a sweet little elderly neighbor who had fallen on the sidewalk and couldn't get up. This wouldn't have been a big deal except that I had a baby in a stroller and a beast-dog on a leash. Luckily, as I was helping her up and contemplating just how much weight Bing could carry on his back and how well Brody could walk on his own, another neigborhood mom came by with her Yorkie terrier and baby-in-stroller. The dogs alone were a sight to behold as they "played?" (Bing leaping back and forth over the incessant ankle-biter), but I can only imagine what the passing drivers (none of whom bothered to stop mind you) were thinking as I lifted this poor lady into the other mom's jogging stroller and rolled her back to her house down the block. If I had time to look, I bet they had the same look of confused horror that appeared on the face of the old lady's housekeeper when she opened the door to find her bruised and bloodied boss sitting in a baby stroller followed by another baby-in-stroller, a lady holding a baby, a leaping deer-dog, and an ankle-biting mop! Do these things happen to anyone else?...or is it just me?
