Today you are 4 years old! I cannot believe that the years have flown by so quickly!! You have spent the first 4 years keeping us on our toes with your unpredictability. We never know what to expect from you with each passing second...whether it's your choice of outfit(s) for the day, the very specific way you want your hair UNbrushed, or the inscrutable decisions to wholeheartedly tackle or stubbornly refuse to do EVERYTHING (sometimes both in the same breath)!!
You wear black when everyone else is wearing pink. You'd rather eat fruit than dessert. You bruise, poke and prod with all the love you have to give. You were intimately acquainted with every little girl in Brody's kindergarten class before the rest of us could even get our bearings, and you knew the names of every worker that spent the past 8 months building our backyard based on the color of shirt they were wearing when you first met them. You went from knowing 2 letters of the alphabet to reading books in 8 months. It only took you 4 years to become way cooler than us, and yet you look to your big brother as though he hung the moon and stars. We are truly blessed that God gave you to our family, and we can't wait to see what another year will bring!
