I don't think anyone can fathom the extent of my "sale psychosis". Scott looks at me with horror when he gets brief glimpses of it, and I have successfully alienated myself from every shopping buddy I've ever had because of it! In fact, the majority of my possessions date back to my high school days because I am too cheap to commit to any new purchases (we're talking futon-turned-couch and papasan chair as living room furniture!). My general rule of thumb: If it costs more that 15 bucks, it's just not worth it! Well, you can imagine my supreme joy when I went to the designer fabrics store with my mother and sister in-law (they HAVE to shop with me because they're family) and found a 2 1/2 yd. remnant of $20/yd. fabulous fabric for only....drum roll please....$11!! One nap time sewing session later and I have a beautiful bed skirt to complete my bedroom makeover! My name is Lindsay and I'm a sale-a-holic!
(P.S. My headboard was an old fire place screen that I got for $30! I'm sick...sick I tell you!!)

Are you trying to tell me that what I've been living with all these years is NOT normal?
Oh, and another thing . . . She now has an IPOD . . . talk about obsessing!
I guess I come by it honestly then!
you'd be a good balance for my wife. she can't seem to hang on to anything older than 2 years. she gets rid of things just so she can buy another! (don't tell her i said that)
Mommy is sooo proud!! When you get to being an old lady like me tho, you MAY begin to succumb to an urge to buy at the rip off price of 25-40% off rather than 75%or more...Also, guilt ridden expenditures like "beauty parlor rather than do it yourself with a coupon to buy the dye" hair coloring (to cover the gray properly)begins to creep up on you...And G.P., if it's NOT normal....it should be!!!!
Also...someone WONDERFUL may buy you a Nano Ipod someday....Feel free to obssess and ENJOY! xo
See...the problem is that if someone bought me a Nano I would obssess on how much it cost and it would make me miserable. Case in point, I was sick over the fact that someone brought me a Jimmy Choo purse from their latest visit to China. I didn't want to use it, but sell it on ebay for millions! :) Then I was told it was a knock-off and I was ELATED!! Now I take it everywhere and I LOVE it!! Don't judge me!!
