My Big Goof Ball

I have recently been surprised by how much personality Brody seems to have acquired. My shy, somewhat pretentious little German is turning into a total goof ball! The first video was supposed to be of him running around the house with Bing, but quickly turned into an inpromptu photo session (in his mind anyway since our picture camera is also our video camera). The second video is what I witness every evening as I cook dinner and watch him outside my kitchen window...sadly, he's imitating his mommy yelling (and clapping her hands) at Bing to get him to stop "fence-fighting" with the dog next door. Sorry they're so grainy and distant...the camera was on a funky setting that I couldn't fix, but you can clearly see that Bing listens to Brody about as well as he listens to me!

He has also taken to telling me all about his exciting dreams the second he wakes up from his naps everyday. Yesterday it was "G.P. bye, bye plane...home...zona" which I can only guess was a dream about G.P.'s last visit and subsequent flight back home to Arizona. Today it was "OH NO! Blue plane!" which I was hoping had no relation to G.P.'s plane from the day before...who knows!

We've also been persistently combatting the "no's" that have infested Brody's vocabulary with the choice of "yes ma'am" or a spanking. So far he's chosen the "yes ma'am" every time, but I have a feeling there's a vast wealth of underlying willfullness that should rear it's ugly head before the two's are over! Today he reached out to push buttons on the remote (Daddy's biggest no-no!)...froze in mid-push...retracted his hand and with a big grin beamed at me with a hearty "yes ma'am...no spanking!!"...so I guess I can be certain that he knows exactly what he's doing when he disobeys (no matter how well he plays dumb!).
